Surrendering One Another To God
Discovering The Power Of One Another
In our continuing discussion about discovering the power of one anothering we now come to James 5.16 where the challenge is to pray for one another.
On the surface that sounds simple and straightforward. However it’s one of those kinds of passages that we need to be careful with. It’s so easy to read this and think that we know what the writer James is getting at. However for most of us, what we think that praying for one another means is based on all of the things we’ve been told and have believed and have held to and have practiced. And when that happens we can get stalled in our growth possibilities and we will miss much when we do that.
There’s a lot about praying for one another that is better described as a journey towards understanding rather than a destination that we ever arrive at.
Join us as we bore into what it means to surrender one another to God and in so doing we come closer to discovering the power of one another.
