His Radical Thoughts About Anger
The Radical Things He Said
Of all the human emotions we are capable of experiencing, one that seems to be the most difficult for many of us to cope with is the emotion of anger. A central reason is because anger is one of the most complex and challenging emotions to deal with on a daily basis. Anger is complex because it can and will surface at the strangest times, be brought forth for the strangest of reasons and exhibited in the strangest ways. It is also challenging because, if not handled properly it can be a very dangerous and destructive emotion. It can be hurtful to us physically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually. There is always a price tag for improperly handling anger. Anyone who has experienced an incident when they let their anger get the best of them will confirm that actions committed in that kind of anger are later regretted.
Jesus had some things to say about anger. In fact what he says sounds pretty radical. He compared anger to murder. Was he serious or is their an explanation? Anger isn't necessarily one of the healthiest emotions but surely it's not as bad as murder?
Please consider joining us this Sunday as we unwrap and consider Jesus' radical thoughts about anger.
